Rolheur MyVolet manufactures roller shutters, insect screens and roller garage doors in its own workshop at La Gaude, in the Alpes-Maritimes. We have been doing it since 2011, made to measure, for the whole of the French Riviera. More about the workshop.
We are a manufacturer, not a fitting company. That distinction matters, and it works in your favour: your shutter is built to the exact size of your opening, and it is installed by an approved fitter from your area who already orders from us. You get the maker behind your shutter, and a professional who knows the product before he arrives at your door.
What we make
- Roller shutters in aluminium and PVC — built-in tunnel boxes, monoblock units fitted with the window, and renovation models for replacing an existing shutter. Manual, wired, radio-controlled or solar. For very wide bays, see Vision+.
- Insect screens — roll-up, vertical, side-opening and motorised, made to measure and finished in the same colour as your shutters.
- Roller garage doors — no swing clearance needed, motor built in.
We also supply external awnings, interior blinds and bioclimatic pergolas from our catalogue. Those we source rather than manufacture, and we would rather say so plainly.
How it works
1. Tell us what you need
A jammed shutter, a patio door to fit out, a whole house. A photograph is often worth more than a long description, so send one if you have it. Your town matters too: it tells us which fitters work near you.
2. We manufacture to size
Aluminium or PVC, box type, colour, motor. Nothing off the shelf. Older Riviera openings are rarely square, and a shutter measured in three places fits an opening that leans; one measured from a catalogue does not.
3. An approved fitter installs it
We put you in touch with a professional in your sector. Not a name pulled from a directory — someone who orders from our workshop and whose work we see come back to us.
Why buy from the manufacturer
Two reasons, and both show up years later rather than on the day of purchase.
The first is fit. A shutter made to the true measurement of your opening does not need packers, added angle trim or oversized brushes to hide a gap. Those improvised fixes are invisible on day one and obvious after a few seasons.
The second is spare parts. Ten years on, we still know what we built. A slat, an end rail, a set of guides, a motor: the part exists because we made the shutter.
Living by the sea changes the specification
Salt air is the single biggest factor on this coast, and it is the one most often ignored. Between Nice, Antibes and Menton, corrosion attacks fixings and guide rails long before it touches the slats. The quality of the powder coating, the choice of aluminium over PVC in exposed positions, the grade of the screws: these are not details on a seafront façade. Where we work
La Gaude sits a few minutes from the Var valley, which puts the workshop near the centre of the department. We manufacture for projects from Nice and Saint-Laurent-du-Var through Cagnes-sur-Mer, Villeneuve-Loubet and Antibes, across to Cannes and Grasse, and along the coast to Villefranche-sur-Mer, Menton and Monaco.
