Rolheur MyVolet is a manufacturer of made-to-measure closures based at La Gaude, in the Alpes-Maritimes, and has been since 2011. We are a small company, and the two things we are judged on are the product and the service.
What we do, and what we don’t
We manufacture roller shutters, insect screens and roller garage doors in our own workshop. We supply external awnings, interior blinds and bioclimatic pergolas from our catalogue without making them ourselves — and we say so, because the distinction is the whole point of buying from a maker.
We do not fit. We do not run an emergency call-out service. What we do instead is manufacture a part to the correct size and put you in touch with a fitter who already works with us.
Why we work this way
Our customers are, for the most part, professionals: carpenters, blind specialists and installers across the region who order from us for their own projects. Nine of our twelve Google reviews come from them.
That shapes everything. A homeowner judges a shutter. A fitter judges an entire chain — the accuracy of the measurement we accepted, the technical advice we gave before manufacturing, whether the product arrives ready to install, and how the packaging survived the journey. One of our reviews mentions the packaging specifically. Nobody puts that in a brochure; a fitter whose day is ruined by a scratched slat does mention it.
So when a private customer comes to us, we do not improvise a fitter. We suggest one of the professionals whose work comes back to us.
Where we are, and why it matters
The workshop is at 158 Chemin Sainte-Pétronille, La Gaude, a few minutes from the Var valley. That puts us near the middle of the department rather than at one end of it.
The practical consequence is not delivery time, it is what happens when something goes wrong. A measurement that needs rechecking, a part to swap, an unexpected obstruction found on site: with a workshop in the same department, that is a phone call and a short trip rather than a claim form and a fortnight.
What we work with
Aluminium and PVC. Built-in tunnel boxes, monoblock units and renovation models. Motorisation from Somfy — io-homecontrol, RTS, RS 100, Oximo, Altus — and CAME radio. Manual, wired, radio or solar operation, with manual override where it is needed.
Colours are not limited to a short standard list, which is usually what brings people to a manufacturer in the first place: matching an existing shutter, or a colour imposed by an owners’ association or a conservation area.
Come and see
If you are a professional considering us as a supplier, the most useful thing is to visit the workshop. You will learn more in twenty minutes there than in any brochure. Get in touch and we will arrange it.
